Mark completed a BTEC National Diploma in Business
Studies after leaving school and then worked for a
number of organisations in different roles, gaining vast
experience both dealing with the public and in an
administrative / IT capacity. He then worked for a
successful government backed consultancy for three years
before starting his own company in May 2007.
Initially directed at IT solutions, Mark soon realised that
his passion lay in training people and so he re-focused
his business into this area.
Since then he has completed an MCSA (Microsoft
Certified Systems Administrator) course, gained his
personal and business coaching plus accelerated
learning certificates through the ICA / ILM and also
earned a PTTLLS qualification. He is currently completing
his CTTLLS qualification and is also part way
through the ‘Mastery University’ programme.
His next challenge is to gain a recognised NLP
qualification – a subject where he already has considerable
knowledge and experience. Mark is one of the
founders of Exam Excellence and, as such, is passionate
about helping people get the most from themselves.
Cy Keogh B.Sc (Hons) MBA

Cy has worked as a trainer / consultant in performance
improvement since 1989. Previously he was the
Managing Director of an aero / automotive engineering
manufacturer. He is a consultant on the UK
Government-sponsored ‘High Growth Programme’
and a senior consultant in an international training
organisation. He has assignments in The Middle East,
Europe and the USA.
He has designed and run over 90 Development
Programmes, the success of which lies in the ability to
transfer complex concepts in a practical and
understandable manner to a range of people with
varying degrees of educational attainment.
He is an expert in effective communication skills,
language patterns, and neuro-associative skills (why
people do the things they do).
He is a Certified Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistics,
and an accredited Master Coach and Accelerated
Learning Trainer. He has a Certificate in Professional
Development from Clemson University (USA).
Cy has lectured at Manchester Business School,
Liverpool Advanced Growth Programme and has
published work in the Journal of Innovation and
Technology.
Chris Scrine AMInstILM

Chris lives in Merseyside and has worked in
aspects of People Management and Training since
completing his education in 1988, achieving an HND in
Institutional Business Management and a Postgraduate
Diploma in Personnel Management. Chris also
possesses the PTTLLS qualification.
After initially working for Marconi as Personnel Officer,
Chris then moved onto employment with Sefton
Enterprises working up to the position of General
Manager of this training and development company
who specialise in delivering occupational NVQ
programmes via LSC or local education authority
funded programmes.
After 18 years in post and the completion of the ILM
endorsed Master Coach Programme Chris registered
his own company, Ascend Coaching, specialising in
enhancing all aspects of personal, business and
educational performance. In addition Chris has
undertaken representative roles on local strategic
education and training groups.
